Highlights & Scores: 250th win as Lady Spartan’s take championship

WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWNY) - Coach Steve Randall got his 250th career win Wednesday as his South Jefferson Lady Spartans defeated General Brown for the Frontier League softball B Division championship.

The lead see-sawed back and forth, with General Brown leading 4-3 at the bottom of the seventh. That's when McKenzi Burnham singled to right-center, driving Emma Schafer in from second base to score, tying the game at 4-4.

Hannah McNamara was hit by a pitch with bases loaded, forcing home Leah Briones with the game-winning run.

The game ended with a 5-4 South Jeff victory over General Brown.

Highlights from the championship game are in the video, along with action from a Section 10 baseball Class B play-in game in Canton.

Salmon River beat Canton 8-5 in 11 innings.
