WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWNY) - An Ogdensburg developer has been hit with a big tax hike. Mike Skelly put in apartments in an old school building. The assessment increased by more than $700,000 and he says it sets a poor example for other developers wanting to make Ogdensburg better:
He does realize it was a rundown school, now it's apartments and tax prices go up.

No wonder there are so many zombie properties in Ogdensburg!

That makes me sad.
Bowling came to an end at South Jefferson Lanes in Adams over the weekend. The owners sold the property:
Every one of my kids learned to bowl there. Had almost every birthday party for all 3 of them until they were 16.
It's truly heartbreaking to see this unfold.
