LOWVILLE, N.Y. (WWNY) - Getting out of the office and onto the playing field - eight teams are taking part in the 2nd Annual Lewis County Community Cup this week.
Employees from area businesses, school districts and other organizations compete in different games, including sports like volleyball, badminton and a home run derby.
Organizers say it’s a healthy form of team-building.
“This time of year, we’re all anxious to get outside and get active. This event we saw as a perfect opportunity to get people out to be competitive,” said Anna Platz, public health specialist.
Play continues through Saturday. After scores are calculated, the winning team is picked.
