WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWNY) - The Watertown Rapids collegiate baseball team is off to a good start this season.

The Rapids improved to 3-1 on the season by beating Newark on the road 5-3 Tuesday night.

I think we're pretty happy with the start," coach Michael Wood said before Tuesday's game. "We won two out of our first three games."

The coach says he's pleased with the way the team gets along.

"I think right away everybody in the organization, especially the coaching staff, was able to really recognize that we have a good group of guys," he said. "They have good team comradery -- I've been saying it since the day I got here."
