Friday morning sports wrap

WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWNY) - The Watertown Rapids increased their win streak to four after defeating the Newark Pilots at the Alex Duffy Fairgrounds Thursday night.

The 4-1 Rapids won the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League contest 8-6.

Norwood-Norfolk's march to the state final-four ended Thursday after a first-round loss to Fort Plain in Class C.

The Flyers lost to the Hilltoppers 11-0

And Malone lost to Jamesville-DeWitt in a first-round Class A softball contest.

The Huskies fell to the Red Rams 18-2.

Also in the video is a sendoff at Watertown High School for Tiffany Russell , who's on her way to the New York State track and field championships in Middletown this weekend.

Russell will be competing in the pentathlon, which tests an athletes endurance. It entails the 100-meter hurdles, high jump, shot put, long jump and 800-meter run.
