TOWN OF POTSDAM, N.Y. (WWNY) - State police said a worker was injured Friday at Potsdam Specialty Paper when his arm became caught in machinery.
The call came in at 11:05 a.m., prompting state police and Potsdam Rescue personnel to respond to the scene at 547 Sissonville Road.
State police said 35 year old Timothy Wendt of the hamlet of Oswegatchie was injured when his right arm became caught in machinery.
He was first taken to Canton-Potsdam Hospital, dispatchers said. State police said he was then airlifted to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse.
State police described the injury as non-life threatening.
7 News reached out to Potsdam Specialty Paper. A human resource official said, “we’re in the middle of an investigation,” before ending the phone call.
State police said they are investigating the incident.
