WADDINGTON, N.Y. (WWNY) - It's not every day you get to paddle a 46-foot-long dragon-headed war canoe.
Laura Shea from Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center was on 7 News This Morning to talk about the fifth annual St. Lawrence River Dragon Boat Challenge.
Watch the video for her interview.
Each canoe has a team of 10 or 20 paddlers and a drummer to keep time.
Racing starts at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 13 at Waddington Beach.
Organizers are still looking for teams. You have until June 30 to sign up.
