Watertown Pride event is later this month

WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWNY) - Watertown is having its first LGBTQ Pride event next week.

Cari Knight is one of the organizers and talked about Watertown Pride 2019 on 7 News This Morning.

The weekend kicks off at 5 p.m. on Friday, June 21 at the Paddock Arcade, where you can purchase a Pride Pass. There's a drag show at Maggie's on the River at 8:30 p.m.

On Saturday, June 22 is a Pride flag raising at city hall at 9 a.m. Afterward is a breakfast at the Hilton Garden Inn.

The zoo at Thompson Park will give people with a Pride Pass 10 percent off the admission fee. The zoo is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

On Sunday, June 23, there's a brunch at Skewed Brewing from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and a tea dance from 2 to 6 p.m. at Garland City Beer Works.
