WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWNY) - One end of the Salmon Run Mall is nearly empty after major retailers Sears and Bon-Ton pulled out.
But for a brief time, the mall’s potential future - what could fill up those now vacant spaces - was outlined up on a wall.
A map of the mall’s interior is currently posted on the now-closed Sears and Bon-Ton stores with the names of what could go in those spaces whited out.
What’s underneath are plans of what could be next for the Salmon Run Mall.
The proposed plans show a Hobby Lobby store, a fitness area, a trampoline park and a bowling alley, Golden Corral, Billy Beez and an ax throwing facility.
Someone who wishes to stay anonymous sent us photos of the maps and told us they were up for a short time Monday morning.
It’s unclear if the designs would affect existing businesses on that end of the mall.
It’s also unclear where the mall stands on these plans - if they are just ideas, hopes, or something more definite.
Mall management declined to comment on the maps, but in the past they have said they hoped to redevelop empty spaces at Salmon Run Mall.
