Wilbur I. Snyder Sr., 76, native of Watertown

WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWNY) - Wilbur I. Snyder, Sr., 76, Summit Village, passed away Monday July 15th, 2019 at the Samaritan Medical Center.

The funeral will be 11 am Friday, July 19th at the Reed & Benoit Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery. A calling hour will begin at 10 am prior to the funeral on Friday.

He is survived by a son Wilbur (Shelbi) Snyder, Jr., Chaumont; a granddaughter, Adrianna, Chaumont; 3 sisters Ida Vincent, Watertown, Katherine “Kit” Hunt, Redwood and Dora (Ken) Bodah, Watertown; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, his wife Shirley, 2 brothers, Schuyler, Jr. and Douglas and a sister Lillian Major.

Wilbur was born February 10, 1943 in Watertown, a son to Schuyler and Pearl Davis Snyder. He had worked as kitchen help at the Triple “B” in Burrville, the Watertown Farmers Market, as well as other various business’ in and around the city.

His wife Shirley who he married in 1985, passed away on August 28, 2017.

He enjoyed walking and Bingo. He also enjoyed cooking for friends and family and had a great sense of humor.
