Rapids down Elmira in collegiate baseball action

Watertown Rapids vs. Elmira Pioneers

WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWNY) - The third-place Watertown Rapids were looking to stay in the playoff hunt with a win over the last-place Elmira Pioneers in a West Division matchup in the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League.

It was their first home game at the Alex Duffy Fairgrounds in a week and a half.

The Rapids got on the board early and help the Pioneers scoreless until the fourth inning.

The Rapids went on to beat Elmira by a final score of 9-4.
