Watertown man gets 8 years in prison for child sex abuse, making meth

WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWNY) - A 55 year old Watertown man is going to prison for child sexual abuse and making meth.

Timothy Keane was sentenced Friday in Jefferson County Court to 8 years behind bars and 5 years post-release supervision.

A jury convicted him in May on counts of sexual abuse, forcible touching, endangering the welfare of a child and attempted use of a child in sexual performance.

The charges stemmed from incidents in October 2017 involving a female under the age of 13, according to the indictment.

Keane was also found of guilty of unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine.
