WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWNY) - They call themselves ‘Vile Vixens.’ But they’re not, really.
The all women motorcycle club hosted a charity motorcycle run Saturday to support the North Country Family Health Center in Watertown.
The run was a 125 mile route through Jefferson and Lewis counties for the Health Center’s “Unmet Needs Program.”
Many of the members are mothers, so donating to an organization that supports children, families and expectant mothers is a perfect fit.
“We support women, our whole thing is to empower women. We all for the most part live in Jefferson County,” said Erin Coyer, Vile Vixens vice-president.
“I work in the schools so I see how the program helps the families of the kids that I have.”
The event had raised $1,500 for the Health Center by Saturday evening, with more expected.
