CARTHAGE, N.Y. (WWNY) - The Carthage High School football team has a new head coach this season and his last name is part of Comets football history.
Longtime assistant coach Jason Coffman willl be taking the reins from Sam Millich, who coached the Comets for 19 years.
Millich himself took over from Jason's father, Terry Coffman, who coached at Carthage for over 30 years.
Now Jason Coffman says it's an honor to take over in a program he's essentially been part of since he was 4 years old.
Watch the video for his thoughts as well as those of his brother, Josh Coffman, who coaches for Lowville.
