MASSENA, N.Y. (WWNY) - Three men -- one from Ontario and two from Hogansburg -- were caught following a brief foot chase inside the St. Lawrence Centre mall in Massena after they allegedly burglarized stores there.

State police say they arrested an 18 year old from London, Ontario, an 18 year old from Hogansburg, and 19 year old Tehahkerato Shenandoah of Hogansburg were arrested inside the mall.

A security guard discovered them there early Tuesday morning and called police. A UTV that was reported stolen was parked outside the mall.

Troopers had been called to the mall Monday morning, where cash and merchandise had been taken from several stores that were broken into. Doors to the mall itself had been forced open.

All three were charged with third-degree burglary, possession of burglary tools, and third-degree criminal possession of stolen property.

The 18 year old from Hogansburg was also charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property.

They were arraigned in Massena town court. The Ontario man was released after paying $750 bail, the 18 year old from Hogansburg was released on his own recognizance, and Shenandoah was released under probation supervision.

Troopers did not release the names of the 18 year olds.
