WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWNY) - It's an event that combines frank discussion about substance abuse with an art show.
Jen Lachenauer and Kelli Liscum from Pivot say it's both a Community Talks event and an art competition.
Watch the video for their interview on 7 News This Morning.
The Community Talks portion is designed to initiate conversation between young people and their parents about how the constantly changing environment affects their decision-making abilities when it comes to substance abuse.
For the art portion, students in grades K-12 will be asked to submit art themed "How Do You Keep Northern New York Healthy?"
Both events are from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, October 5 at Salmon Run Mall in Watertown
