New look, new name for Watertown’s Truscott Terrace
WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWNY) - What was known as Truscott Terrace Apartments in Watertown will now go by a new name with upgrades to go with it.
Mayor Joe Butler was at what's now called Parkstead Properties at City Center to cut the ribbon at a grand reopening celebration.
Six other properties owned by the same company have also been re-branded under the Parkstead Properties name, but management has not changed.
There are locations in Clayton, Copenhagen, Gouverneur, and Philadelphia as well as three Watertown locations.
Apartments in each area have been renovated from the inside out for new and prospective tenants.
"They're beautiful -- we have all-new kitchens, stainless appliances, beautiful cabinetry, great things happening outside, new play areas," said Shannon Redden, who manages the City Center property. "This new branding is like just something fun and new for us to kind of just bring our community together, bring our properties together."
Butler says $6.3 million was spent to renovate the three Watertown locations.
