TOWN OF ALEXANDRIA, N.Y. (WWNY) - The town of Alexandria clerk is back to work after an unexplained two-month absence.
Jessy Hudon tells 7 News after dealing with personal issues, she has returned to her responsibilities full-time.
In late June, Hudon told town officials she wouldn't be in the office and didn't say why or for how long.
As an elected official, she's still under salary, but the town had to make adjustments in her absence.
Town office hours were cut nearly in half and other employees had to carry out some of the clerks' roles like issuing water and sewer bills.
Hudon says she'll continue to serve her two year term as clerk.
Town Supervisor Brent Sweet couldn’t be reached for comment.
