WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWNY) - A Philadelphia, Pennsylvania man landed in jail after police raided a Mill Street apartment in Watertown Tuesday morning.

Members of the Metro-Jefferson Drug Task Force say 20 year old Desean Cooper-Smith was the lone occupant of the upstairs apartment at 548 Mill Street when they executed a search warrant.

Police say they seized about $330 cash, 51 individually wrapped pieces of crack cocaine, digital scales, packaging materials, and a BB gun that looks like semi-automatic pistol.

Cooper-Smith was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

He was arraigned in Watertown city court and sent to jail on $20,000 bail or $40,000 bond.

Police say the search warrant was based on several complaints from the public that drugs were being sold at that address.

More charges are pending, police say.
