Thursday morning sports wrap

WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWNY) - Lowville shut out Immaculate Heart in a boys’ Frontier League soccer contest at IHC Wednesday.

Lowville was up 1-0 in the second half when Jared Ortlieb scored, putting the Red Raiders on top 2-0, which ended up as the final score.

There was another shutout in Dexter as the General Brown girls' soccer team hosted Hermon-DeKalb.

The Lady Lions’ Marissa Valvo scored twice in the second half and Avairee McConnell added a goal as General Brown blanked Hermon-DeKalb 3-0.

The Jefferson Community College men’s soccer team was unsuccessful in its effort to remain undefeated.

Onondaga Community College beat the Cannoneers 4-1.

On the women's side, JCC fell to Onondaga 9-0.

The JCC volleyball team was also in action Wednesday.

Maggie Vasquez recorded 12 kills and Grace Gehrke had 4 blocks as JCC beat OCC 3 games to 1 by scores of 25-12, 25-12, 27-29, and 25-8
