PAMELIA, N.Y. (WWNY) - A Watertown area man is accused of paying two women to engage in sexual contact at a motel in the town of Pamelia.

State police say 75 year old Walter VanTassel had sex with the women at the Hotis Motel several times in June in exchange for money.

He was charged with two counts of patronizing a prostitute.

VanTassel was ticketed and is scheduled to appear in Pamelia town court at a later date.

Walter VanTassel is listed as zoning and code enforcement officer for the town of Pamelia.

7 News reported last November that VanTassel was overseeing renovations at the motel, which was condemned at the time.
