TOWN OF POTSDAM, N.Y. (WWNY) - A 25 year old Potsdam man is in critical condition following a crash in St. Lawrence County over the weekend.

State police said a motorcycle and pickup truck collided on Route 11B in the town of Potsdam at around 8 p.m. Saturday.

Troopers said Jordan Sochia was driving his motorcycle east on the highway when he struck the rear of a pickup driven by 66 year old Irving Richards of Potsdam.

Police said Sochia suffered a fractured pelvis and was taken to the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington, Vermont, where he's listed in critical but stable condition.

Richards and a passenger in the pickup, 65 year old Raymond Richards of Norwood, were uninjured.

The New York State Department of Conservation also responded to the scene because approximately 30 gallons fuel leaked from the Richards vehicle.

Route 11B was closed to traffic for about 3 hours due to the crash.
