TOWN OF ALEXANDRIA, N.Y. (WWNY) - A 16 year old boy suffered a self-inflicted shotgun wound while hunting in the town of Alexandria. That’s according to the state Department of Environmental Conservation.
It happened Tuesday evening on Goose Bay.
Officials said the boy was kayaking with his mother when he reached for his shotgun to shoot at geese, but instead discharged the gun into both of his feet.
He was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non life-threatening injuries, the DEC said.
