Police identify motorcyclist involved in Watertown crash

WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWNY) - Watertown police have released the name of the motorcyclist who was critically injured in Saturday's crash on the Arsenal Street bridge.

He's identified as 28 year old Jacob Thomas of Watertown.

Police said he remains in critical condition at Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse.

Watertown police responded to the bridge outside of Shakers Bar shortly after 2 a.m. Sunday.

According to police, Thomas was traveling west away from Public Square when he lost control and crashed.

The bridge was shut down until about 6:45 a.m.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
