WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWNY) - Traffic is down to one lane on a southbound section of Interstate 81 because of a pair of accidents.
Reporter Natalie Kucko was at the scene and said one accident was caused when a boat on a trailer separated from the truck that was towing it.
It happened between the Bradley and Coffeen street exits.
While state police were investigating that accident, another happened nearby when one vehicle rear-ended another.
The driver of one of the vehicles was taken to Samaritan Medical Center for treatment of unspecified injuries.
Earlier reports of multiple-vehicle accidents turned out not to be true.
The boat, which became unhitched, was being towed by the Rochester Police SCUBA Squad. The squad had been training on the St. Lawrence River.
