WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWNY) - A judge has ruled a Watertown man is not guilty of sexual assault.

It was the second trial in Jefferson County Court for Sheldon Dukes.

Dukes was accused of engaging in sexual acts between June 2011 and July 2013 with a girl who was born in 2005.

In March, Dukes went on trial in county court but the jury could not agree on Dukes’ guilt or innocence.

In this latest trial, there was no jury, meaning Judge Kim Martusewicz decided the outcome of the case.

The judge took less than 30 minutes to issue his verdict.
