Friday morning sports wrap

LOWVILLE, N.Y. (WWNY) - It was a rare Thursday night Section 3 football battle under the lights in Lowville, where the Red Raiders hosted Adirondack in a Class C contest.

The Red Raiders already up 7-0 in the first quarter when Isaac Lyndaker got loose and went 23 yards for the touchdown. Lowville went on top 14-0.

The Red Raiders' defense came up big on Adirondack's next possession as Colton Friedersdorf snags the interception.

That sets up a 15-yard run to pay dirt by Michael Hamburg, increasing the Red Raiders’ lead to 21-0.

Still in the first, Chad Bach connects with Gavin Macaulay, who takes it in from 19 yards out.

Lowville rolls to a 65-8 win.

Turning to the soccer field and a boys' Frontier League match-up under the lights at Watertown high, where the Cyclones hosted the Carthage Comets.

The Cyclones got on the scoreboard first when Colton Walker gets credit for the tally off the corner kick in the first half.

The Cyclones go on to beat the Comets 3-1.
