WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWNY) - Things get sticky in this week's TV Dinner segment.
Chef Chris Manning shows us how to make Sticky Chicken.
It's simple and most people already have most of the ingredients in their pantries.
He says it's fantastic with pork chops, steak, and shrimp
- 2 6-ounce boneless, skinless chicken breast (pounded to 1/2-inch thick)
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons corn starch
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1/3 cup maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 green onion, minced
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
Mix the flour, corn starch, salt, and pepper together. Dredge chicken in the mixture.
Sauté chicken in butter and oil in pan on medium heat until brown on both sides. Remove chicken to serving dish.
Add garlic, green onion, and red pepper flakes to pan. Mix together the syrup, honey, vinegar, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. Add half a cup of the mixture to the pan and reduce by one third. Spoon sauce over chicken and serve.
