WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWNY) - Tops Friendly Market stores are selling reusable shopping bags with a special charity design to benefit the United Way, Children’s Miracle Network, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and Feeding America.

Shoppers can purchase a bag for $1.99 and $1 will go to the local chapter of the charity of the bag they choose. The store manager of the Washington Street location in Watertown says all the money stays local.

"It's just a vehicle that enables us to collect money and distribute it, ya know. The customers can distribute it through the four chapters that we deal with. We just try to work and put something back into the community," said Wayne Morris, store manager.

There are Tops locations in Watertown, Lowville and Adams.
