ADAMS, N.Y. (WWNY) - The South Jefferson girls' soccer team has put together an impressive record this season.

The Spartans hope it means more success come postseason time.

The Lady Spartans are 10-2-1 overall, 7-2-1 in the tough Frontier League B Division.

Coach Terry Burgess says it’s been a great season so far.

“I think the secret’s been girls stepping up that weren’t expected to do as much as they’ve done,” he said. "We lost our two senior co-captains right from the beginning of the season with season-ending injuries and we’ve picked up with other players taking their place and doing a really good job.

You can hear more from the coach in the video, along with the thoughts of players Abby Piddock, Megan Whitley, Mia Buckingham, and Macy Shultz.
