WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWNY) - A portion of Route 37 in the town of Morristown has reopened after being closed for about 45 minutes.
A number of law enforcement officials were called to a home on Route 37 for an initial report of an armed person. However the investigation revealed there was no firearm involved.
The highway was closed between Route 12 and Old Mill Road. State police were on scene investigating. Officials say the public was not in danger.
