HARRISVILLE, N.Y. (WWNY) - Volunteer firefighters from three departments battled a fire that destroyed a camp Friday afternoon.

The fire, at 12934 State Route 812 in Harrisville, burned the camp to the ground, according to a press release from Lewis County dispatch.

The camp was owned by 4 Quarters Hunting Club.

A passer-by first reported the fire just before 5 PM, and when Harrisville firefighters got to it, they found “the structure on the ground.”

The building and its contents were a total loss, according to the press release.
