WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWNY) - A north country author shared her story Wednesday at Jefferson Community College in Watertown.
Ellen Marie Wiseman of Three Mile Bay spoke to an audience of students and community members about her career in literature.
Wiseman has written four books and is working on her fifth.
She says her first published book is inspired by her mother's experience living in World War II Germany.
For Wiseman, speaking at JCC brings her back to a time before her writing career began.
"I came here in 2008 to see Chris Bohjalian speak and he was the first published author that I'd ever met. And so, I was really nervous when I met him. So, to be here now, and be the one up there speaking is kind of a full circle moment for me," she said.
Wiseman’s talk is part of the North Country Writer Series and was sponsored by JCC’s English Department.
