CAPE VINCENT, N.Y. (WWNY) - High winds toppled trees onto a home in Cape Vincent early Friday morning.
Bill Kirchgessner says he woke up to the sound of loud crashes against his house.
Two trees fell onto his property and damaged the front porch, but he says the damage wasn't significant.
"We got up and looked and the first tree came down," he said. "Ten minutes later, the second tree came down there was a crash, minor damage to the house, the front porch and the gutter, but we were very fortunate."
Cape Vincent fire crews say they were busy cleaning up debris overnight.
