WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWNY) - A cold front is currently moving through and that will bring rain and snow showers tonight.
The winter storm that we are watching will start around noon on Monday and pick up in intensity going over night Monday into Tuesday. Snow totals will range from 8″ to 12″ with locally higher amounts in the lower elevations and 12″ to 14″ with locally higher amounts for the higher elevations.
Snow will move out during the day on Tuesday, but we will still see snow showers once the low pressure system moves East. The big topic after the storm system moves out will be the temperatures. Highs will only top out in the lower to mid 20s with lows getting into the single digits and close to zero for some locations.
We could see record lows, but wind chill values will be close to zero or below zero during the overnight hours. Things look to start to warm up going into next week.
