WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWNY) - Legislation was signed last week by Governor Cuomo allowing adoptees in the state who are 18 years of age and older to access their original birth certificates beginning January 15:

Everyone has a right to know where they came from and know their background medical history. A sure victory!

Mary Compo Olney

Is there no protection to the parents? What if they do not want to be contacted? Do they not have rights at all?

Tiffany-Rae Lowe

Changing the legal age to buy tobacco products to 21 became New York state law last week. While chain stores say the state notified them, small shops say they were left out of the loop:

Don Gundersen

They should have been properly notified.

Brooke Downing-Rogers

Hobby Lobby is coming to the Salmon Run Mall. The arts and crafts store will fill more than half the space formerly occupied by Sears:

My favorite store! Couldn’t be happier!

Margaret R. Fraser

We have two of these stores already. When did getting a third craft store become something to celebrate?
