HANNAWA FALLS, N.Y. (WWNY) - Four people escaped serious injury in a mobile home fire in the town of Pierrepont Sunday night.

Hannawa Falls Fire Chief Ken Eurto says his department was called out around 8:30 p.m. for a fire at 161 Butternut Ridge Road.

Firefighters arrived to find a small shed fully involved and flames coming from the front of the trailer home.

The fire was under control within minutes.

A man and three children escaped after one of the children saw the fire and warned the others to get out.

One of the children was taken to Canton-Potsdam Hospital to be checked out.

The fire is under investigation.

Fire departments from Pierrepont, Colton, and Potsdam provided mutual aid.
