Memory Tree is up, Hospice looking for help

WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWNY) - The Hospice of Jefferson County is helping people remember those who have died one bright light at a time this holiday season.

The Hospice Memory Tree is up at Watertown’s Salmon Run Mall. With a donation to Hospice, people can light a bulb on the tree in memory of a loved one or to honor someone special.

Donations will go to help provide care for hospice patients and their families.

“When people think of Hospice sometimes, they think about it being the last day of their loved ones lives, but Hospice is basically about making everyday matter leading up to their last day,” said Kathy Arendt, the Director of Community Relations for the Hospice of Jefferson County.

Hospice is still looking for volunteers to help run the booth at Salmon Run Mall and take donations for the tree.

If you’re interested, you can call Hospice at 315-788-7323.
