COPENHAGEN, N.Y. (WWNY) - Sunday afternoon’s bad weather prompted a few activities to be canceled in northern New York.

With the bad weather, driving conditions deteriorated.
That prompted the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office to issue a travel advisory. That means caution is advised, “as hazardous driving conditions could be encountered due to blowing snow and snow covered roads.”
In addition, one local tradition was postponed.
The Copenhagen fire department announced the delay of the annual Christmas parade, which had been set for 3 PM.
A spokesman for the fire department said a new date for the parade will be announced.
Lewis County is under a winter storm warning until 7 PM Monday.
