CHAUMONT, N.Y. (WWNY) - The Lyme boys' basketball team opened up its season Tuesday night with a win against visiting Sackets Harbor.

There's news being made off the court as a couple of transfers join the team.

The last time we saw the Indians, they had won the Section 3 Class D title before losing to eventual state champion Harrisville in the regionals.

It was a great season for Lyme boys' basketball.

"It was a really special season," coach Leo Wilson said. "It was really good for the boys, because they worked all season long."

There's more from the coach in the video, along with returning players Isaiah Wilson and Tyler Wilson.

Lyme lost two starters to graduation, but the big news is some transfers coming in, including Kyle Gaumes moving over from LaFargeville and Jake Bombard from Immaculate Heart.

You can hear from them in the video, too.
