WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWNY) - Lake effect snow will be hitting isolated areas throughout much of the day.
There's a winter weather advisory from 4 p.m. Wednesday to 10 a.m. Thursday for Jefferson, Lewis, and Oswego counties
Snow could be heavy at times.
Affected areas -- mostly in the higher elevations of the Tug Hill -- could see a couple inches during the day, with a total of 3 to 6 inches by the time it wraps up.
As always in lake effect snow, driving conditions could be clear one moment, but quickly become slick with poor visibility the next.
Wednesday's highs will be in the mid-30s.
Snow lingers to around mid-morning on Thursday. The rest of the day will be partly sunny with highs around 30.
Snow will be on and off Friday. Highs will be in the upper 20s.
It will be in the mid-20s and partly sunny on Saturday.
Highs will be in the low 40s on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. It will be mostly cloudy on Sunday, rain is likely on Monday, and there’s a 50 percent chance of rain on Tuesday.
