Friday morning sports wrap

ADAMS, N.Y. (WWNY) - State Class B runners-up Lowville took on the South Jefferson Spartans in Adams Thursday night.

A first-quarter steal and lay-in by Aidan Macaulay put Lowville on top 10-3.

Chad Bach dished to Macaulay for another goal: 14-5 Red Raiders.

Brett Myers came up with the steal and the bucket: 18-5 Lowville.

Colden Montague answered for the Spartans with a trifecta: 18-8

Macaulay drove the baseline for the bucket and he drew a foul: 20-8 Red Raiders.

Gavin Macaulay scores: 23-8 Lowville.

The Red Raiders rolled to a 71-45 win.

In girls' Frontier League basketball, it was the Immaculate Heart Lady Cavaliers entertaining General Brown.

First quarter: Karsyn Fields finished the break with a bucket: Lady Lions by 2.

Then it was Ainsley Fuller spotting up and ripping yarn: General Brown up 2.

Samantha Malbouf answered for IHC: IHC down 1.

Ashlee Ward tickled twine at the other end: Lady Lions by 3.

Second quarter: Kori Nichols turned a steal into points: 10-4 Lady Lions. She had 19 points.

Emma Dupee with the bucket inside put the Lady Lions on top 15-4.

McKenna Cooney laid in 2, but IHC fell to General Brown 59-22.
