WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWNY) - It was just hardwood action in the north country Sunday as the J.C.C. Mens Basketball team was in search of their 7th straight win as they hosted Clinton Community College.

In the 1st half, Indian River product Liam Bonk takes the pass down low for the layin to put J.C.C. up by 10.

Then it was South Jeff grad Jake Hess kissing 2 off glass to put the Cannoneers on top 12. South Lewis' Joshua Newman hit the turnaround in the paint. Score: 21-6 J.C.C.

It was Newman again with the strong move and he gets the roll: 23-9 Cannoneers.

Isiah Murphy goes hard to the tin for the hoop and he draws the foul. Final Score: 90-59 J.C.C.

In the early game, the J.C.C. women looked to snap a 2 game losing streak as they hosted Clinton.

In the 1st quarter, Chelsea Raven finished off the break with a layin to put J.C.C. up 6. Then it was Ashlyn Eyles from the wing burying a three pointer. J.C.C. on top by 7.

Its Eyles again and again, boosting the score to 16-4 Lady Cannoneers.

Eyles hits the lefty layin off a Bailey Zicari feed to secure the winn. Final score: 70-33 J.C.C.
