LOWVILLE, N.Y. (WWNY) - A 33 year old Lyonsdale man, accused of running a vehicle off the road and threatening the driver, has taken a plea deal and is going to prison.
Brian Ripp appeared Friday in Lewis County Court, where he pleaded guilty to a felony count of third-degree criminal mischief. He was then sentenced to 18 months to 3 years in prison.
Sheriff's deputies arrested him in November after they said he drove a vehicle off Moose River Road and used what they called "a dangerous instrument" to threaten the other driver.
Ripp allegedly backed into the vehicle and left the scene.
He was originally charged with second-degree criminal mischief, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, second-degree menacing, and second-degree harassment.
