Tuesday morning sports wrap

WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWNY) - Indian River visited Watertown in a Frontier League boys’ basketball contest Monday night.

The Cyclones got on the board off the opening tip. It was Ryan Peters to Marlon Hinds-Ventour for the layup.

That's just one of the highlights in the video. Here are more:

- It was Hinds-Ventour again, stopping and popping for 2.

- Cyclones in transition, Kevin Harp with the finish.

- Indian river gets on the board. TaeJean LaCroix goes down low for the bucket.

- Alexander Ezell goes down low for Watertown.

- Michael Garcia finds the range in the paint.

- Ryan Peters with the rebound and basket.

In the end it was Watertown 62, Indian River 51.

In Northern Athletic Conference boys' basketball, Potsdam was behind Malone by 9 when after Potsdam's Aiden Stickles passed to Noah Dominy who had a short jump for 2.


- Jake Van Steenburg to Aiden Decillis for the trifecta. Malone leads 32-15.

- Van Steenburg attempts a reverse layup. The put-back by Keegan Monette.

- Egan Stevenson dishes through traffic to Dominy for the layup.

- The breakaway by Daimen Poirier, who gets his own rebound for 2.

Malone defeated Potsdam 86-45.

Canton hosted Alexandria in girls' NAC hockey.

After Canton’s Katie Fobare won the face-off, Lucy Decoteau floated a screen shot that found the far side of the net, giving Canton a 1-0 lead in the first period.

Early in the third period, Alexandria's Kamryn Barnes stole the puck at the blue line and bounced a shot that found its way into the net.

Barnes also scored the game winner in overtime.

The Lady Islanders defeated Canton 2-1.
