Tuesday morning sports wrap

LOWVILLE, N.Y. (WWNY) - The holiday break is underway for area schools, but there's no time off for high school sports teams.

It was a girls’ Frontier League-Northern Athletic Conference match-up in Lowville as the Lady Red Raiders hosted Heuvelton.

Here are highlights you can see in the video:

- First quarter -- Sara Wood drives the lane and kisses 2 off glass, putting Lowville on top 2.

- The Lady Bulldogs answered as Molly Williams buried the 3. Now Heuvelton is up 1.

- At the other end, Sydney Brown connected from the top of the arc. Lowville hit 13 3-pointers on the day.

- Back the other way, Bella Doyle laid in 2 off the turnover, cutting the Lowville lead to 3.

- Lowville in transition -- Sara Wood finished; Lady Red Raiders were up 5.

- Rayna Cameron went hard to the tin for the bucket.

Lowville went on to beat Heuvelton 71-34

General Brown headed to Massena for boys' non-league hoops.

- Ryan Herrick hit the short jumper -- Massena down 3.

- De'Shaun Thorigal Brown answered for the Lions, putting General Brown up 6.

- At the other end, Ethan Barney went in hard to the tin for 2 -- Massena down 4.

- Cory Smith kisses 2 off glass -- 30-24 Lions.

- Kacy Lennox hit the trifecta.

The Lions beat Massena 45-41

Potsdam was in Massena for a girls’ NAC match-up on the ice.

- Kennedy Emerson found the mark, putting Potsdam goes on top 1-0.

- Margaret Wilmhurst stuck in her own miss, tying the game at 1.

- Emerson slipped through the defense and went far post again -- 2-1 Potsdam.

- Karley Green's shot hit the crossbar and went in -- 3-1 Potsdam

- Brook Terry went top shelf, knotting the score at 3.

- Emerson slipped through the defense and buried the game winner as Potsdam beat Massena 4-3.
