WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWNY) - Ready, set, shave! It's almost time for the start of 2020's Donegal Beard Contest.
Barber Rachel Davis and 2013's King of Beards Al Wood says it's the 10th year for the contest, in which men grow the Irish-style beards known as donegals.
Watch the video for their interview on 7 News This Morning.
The shaving ceremony is from 3 to 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 31 at Sportsman's Barbershop on State Street in Watertown.
Beards are grown from then until they're judged at the North Country Goes Green Irish Festival in March.
