WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWNY) - The worst news of the week came from a Watertown business, Timeless Decor, which had to lay off much of its workforce two days before Christmas. It happened because the company’s main customer was bought out.
Victoria Lee Maziarz: "I feel for every single one of these families. I can't imagine being laid off with no notice..."
Michael Stout: "I feel for the workers, but this state is unbearable."
Jerrad LaRock: "This is because the economy doesn't care about people. It cares about numbers and that's final."
A baby bull got loose in the Town of LeRay and it was quite a job to catch him.
Kathy Nezezon: "We stopped so he could cross the road. Hope he found his people."
Gail Hicks wondered if the bull was: "Looking for a lady friend."
Donna White: maybe he was "looking for his daddy."
Bernita Huttemann of Sackets Harbor turned 105 on Christmas Day. Here’s a few of the well-wishers we heard from on Facebook:
Bonnie Pfister: "Happy birthday Aunt Tootsie. You are a wonderful woman and always have been there for your family. Love you."
Kathy Hodge: "You are a wonderful and special person!!!"
Diane Rutherford has Monday off, but she’ll be back next week with more of Your Turn.
