DEXTER, N.Y. (WWNY) - The General Brown girls' basketball team has opened up a new era with a new coach, one who is familiar with the program.
The Lady Lions are off to a 3-3 start to the season.
Coach Lindsay Hanson says she's happy with the makeup of her team.
"I'm very happy with the makeup of the team, I think we've got some nice diversity as far as the ages of our girls," she said. "We've got a couple seniors, some juniors, some sophomores, and some freshmen, so it's a nice blend of different ages that helps us kind of come together and unite on game days.
Hanson, a General Brown product, found out she had the position a week before preseason practice.
You can hear more from her in the video, along with players Marissa Valvo and Rylee Ganter.
