Grants awarded to help make schools safer

Safe Schools Endeavor Grants

WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWNY) - Eleven schools received $16,000 in grants from the Northern New York Community Foundation's Safe Schools Endeavor.

Student representative Phillip Mara and steering committee member Jennifer Hodge talked about it on 7 News This Morning.

The awards, which went to schools in Jefferson and Lewis counties, fund a variety of programs, including security and anti-bullying efforts.
